FAQs
FAQs About 200W CIGS Thin-Film Flexible Solar Panels
1. What causes low output of CIGS solar panel and how can it be solved?
Low light intensity, improper angle incidence, and shading during use will result in low output of flexible CIGS solar panel. Therefore, it is important to adjust the angle of incidence to prevent shading and clean the solar panel regularly to remove obstructions such as bird droppings, dust, and debris. Such obstructions may cause the solar panel to not output at all.
2. My flexible CIGS solar panel is not adhesive after several uses, how can I solve this issue?
To remain adhesive, here are some daily maintenance tips for your CIGS solar panel:
- Wipe the panel stains using a clean, moist, soft, non-abrasive fine fiber or sponge when cleaning the components.
- When disassembling the panel, remove any residue stains on the mounting substrate surface using industrial alcohol.
-
Replace the adhesive backing when you find the solar panel and the surface of the mounting substrate have gaps, which results in a decrease in adhesion during daily use.
3. Is there a control box that you recommend?
We recommend the following high-quality PWM controllers for sale:
- 10A ISE132
- 20A ISE135
- 30A ISE136
- 40A ISE119
You can choose the appropriate controller based on the needs of the RV system you are building.
4. Can this 200W CIGS solar panel be integrated into a house's electrical panel?
Yes, it is possible to integrate this 200W CIGS solar panel into a house's electrical panel, but it is important to ensure that the electrical parameters of the solar panel match those of the house's electrical panel.
5. Can the 200W CIGS solar panels be cut to a shorter size?
It is not recommended to cut the 200W solar panels on your own. We are currently developing more sizes of CIGS solar panels, so please subscribe to our store for updates.
6. Is it safe to walk on the CIGS solar panels?
Yes, it is safe to walk on the panels. Our flexible solar panels use CIGS Thin-film Cells which are much stronger than monocrystalline silicon cells. They can withstand a maximum pressure of 2400PA, which is approximately equal to 244.8kg/m².
7. Can I connect the flexible CIGS solar panels directly to a battery backup unit, such as a Jackery?
It is typically possible to connect the CIGS solar panels directly to a battery backup unit, but it depends on the Open Circuit Voltage (31.5V) and Short Circuit Current (4.32A) of the CIGS solar panel.
8. Can I connect a 200W CIGS panel with a 200W 9BB mono panel without damaging the panels?
No, we do not recommend connecting a CIGS solar panel with a 200W 9BB mono solar panel in series or parallel. As CIGS panels and Mono panels have a significant voltage difference, they cannot be connected in parallel. Therefore, it is not recommended to connect these two types of panels together.
When connecting panels of different sizes, it is important to consider the voltage and current between them. Panels in series need to have the same or similar current, and when connected in series, the current value tends to be the minimum current of the panels. If one panel is blocked or damaged, the whole circuit will be blocked. Panels in parallel need the same or similar voltage, and a large voltage difference can cause a risk of burning off.
9. What is the best use case for the BougeRV 200W Flexible Solar Panel?
The BougeRV 200W Flexible Solar Panel is a great solution for applications that require a lightweight, flexible, and aesthetically pleasing solar panel. It can be easily mounted on curved or irregular surfaces, making it ideal for RVs, boats, trailers, tents, and other outdoor applications. Plus, our 200W solar panel is highly efficient and generates more power in low-light conditions with the advanced CIGS (Copper Indium Gallium Selenide) technology.
10. What are the advantages of the BougeRV 200W Flexible CIGS Solar Panel?
The BougeRV 200W Flexible CIGS Solar Panel has several advantages over traditional rigid solar panels. 1) It is completely flexible and can be bent up to 360 degrees without damaging the cells or the module. 2) It has a slim profile and can be easily installed without adding extra weight or bulk to your vehicle or structure. 3) It has a sleek and modern design that blends in with the surface and enhances the overall appearance. 4) It performs better in low-light conditions and at high temperatures using the CIGS technology, increasing the overall energy yield.
11. How do I install the BougeRV 200W Flexible CIGS Solar Panel?
The BougeRV 200W Flexible CIGS Solar Panel comes with pre-drilled holes and grommets on the corners for easy mounting. So, You can use mounting brackets, suction cups, or adhesive tapes to attach it to your roof, wall, or ground. And, it's recommended to use an appropriate charge controller and wiring to connect the panel to your battery or inverter. Please refer to the user manual for detailed instructions.
